FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sports physiology and medicine. Functional recovery of the qualified athletes is assessed. Cardiovascular adaptation to physical activity is determined: heart rate, beats/min, intervals between adjacent R-waves are recorded in a sitting position by analyzing heart rate variability. Stress index (SI) is calculated, standard units, by cardiorhythmogram. Measurements are taken 20 minutes after training in the phase of urgent recovery. After recording the cardiovascular system values, postural balance values are determined: a Rhomberg test is performed with open eyes on a force plate, recording the velocity of the center of pressure V mm/s and the power of the statokinesiogram P J/s. Recovery of the functional state of athletes is determined by the stress index of the regulatory systems and the values of the Rhomberg test by the formula: Precovery=(SI×V×P)/1,000; wherein the value ≤ 50 is considered to be complete recovery, from 50 to 75—incomplete recovery and ≥ 75—no recovery.
EFFECT: method enables to determine the completeness of the body recovery of the qualified athletes by the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal system recovery indicators, as well as the nature and process of recovery heterochronism.
