FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery and ophthalmology. Supraorbital nerve is separated, the donor nerve is sutured to it, the last nerve is brought to the cornea on the affected side and sutured. Donor nerve used is a sural nerve autoneurotransplant with a length of not more than 30 cm. Sub-eyebrow incisions are made on the healthy and paralyzed side of the face, and the supraorbital nerve is separated on the healthy side. Sub-eyebrow incisions are connected to form a subcutaneous tunnel; the sural nerve is delivered in the subcutaneous tunnel. Further, on the healthy side, an epineural window is made in the supraorbital nerve, and an epineural suture of the sural nerve with the supraorbital nerve is made in an end-to-side manner. Then conjunctiva and Tenon's membrane are separated around the limb, the end of the sural nerve is brought under the conjunctiva through the incision from the lateral side, separated into 4 fascicles, which are immersed into formed corneoscleral canals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock, and edges of corneoscleral canals are fixed with interrupted sutures. In a particular case, the sural nerve is sutured to the supraorbital nerve with interrupted sutures of 9/0 nylon. Edges of corneoscleral canals are fixed with 8/0 silk suture. Conjunctiva is closed over the sural nerve with separate interrupted sutures of 8/0 silk.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the number of injuries of the operation, reducing the length of the operation and the rehabilitation period, accelerating wound healing, providing more accurate approach of nerve fascicles to the cornea.
