FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of protecting engineering communications from fire, in particular to means of protecting suspended metal structures in case of fire. Said technical result is achieved due to the fact that the method of protecting suspended metal structures in case of fire is disclosed, characterized by the use of suspended metal structures, which by means of threaded pins and refractory metal or chemical anchors are fixed to the ceiling, characterized by that a protective screen is put on the bearing threaded rods during installation, note here that protective shield consists of inner layer of heat insulation and outer layer in the form of metal plate. Shield is pressed to anchor by nut or by additional fixation with dowels to ceiling.
EFFECT: higher reliability of retaining suspended metal structures in case of fire, as well as reduced probability of destruction of concrete in the area of anchor attachment or destruction of chemical anchors.
