SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a water reservoir for a household device with a connection for a filter cartridge. At the bottom of the water reservoir there is an annular sealing surface for tight connection of the filter cartridge, which surrounds the through hole of the reservoir, intended for water flow from the filter cartridge through the wall of the reservoir bottom into the household device. Water reservoir is characterized by that the shape of the sealing surface of the reservoir along its periphery has a varying radius relative to the central axis, so that the sealing surface of the reservoir has radial concavities and/or radial bulges, wherein the bulges and/or concavities have a rounded shape.

EFFECT: providing sealing and coding functions when placing a filter cartridge in a reservoir.
