SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to chemistry of high-molecular compounds, namely to a device and a method for depolymerisation of polymers. Disclosed is a device for depolymerisation of polymers, such as polyesters, polyamides, polyurethanes or polycarbonates. Device comprises: a microwave depolymerisation reactor having a reaction chamber; system for generation and transmission of microwaves for sending microwaves into a reaction chamber. Generation system consists of a microwave generator and a guide device placed in a reaction chamber for transmitting and distributing microwaves in the reaction chamber. Device also has a mixing device rotating around the axis in the reaction chamber and configured to dynamically distribute a mixture of liquids and solid substances contained in the reaction chamber inside the reaction chamber. In addition, there is a system for maintaining pressure, which is configured to control pressure inside the reaction chamber.

EFFECT: disclosed approach enables depolymerisation on an industrial scale using a simple, efficient and cheap method.
