FIELD: packaging; storage.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lids for containers, in particular for containers with a neck equipped with an external threaded part. Cover includes lower ring, which can be attached to container neck, and upper part of cover (2) provided with internal thread for connection to external threaded part of neck, wherein the upper part of cover (2) and lower ring (1) are connected to each other so that they can rotate together. Connection between the upper part of cover (2) and lower ring (1) is made by means of two flexible extensions (3) located diametrically opposite to each other, and these extensions are formed by a bulge in the lower ring, which has a groove. Lower edge of upper part of cover has recess, which forms recess for extensions, wherein, in closed position, two extensions (3) are located above lower ring (1) and parallel thereto, while in open position, top part of said extensions (3) acts as a hinge to allow top part of cover (2) to rotate.

EFFECT: facilitating installation and centring of the cover on the container neck for proper twisting when closing the container; besides, the user needs less time and effort to unscrew the cover.
