FIELD: measurement; testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of investigating thermal fatigue occurring in articles subjected to temperature and force effects, in tests simulating their destruction, and can be used in machine building, gas turbine engine building. Thermal fatigue is investigated by cyclic heating of flat corset samples with cylindrical shape of side surface on working section between heads. For this purpose, samples are rigidly fixed in the grips of the loading device to restrict free thermal deformation and a series of tests is carried out on several samples with change in the value of plastic deformation in a cycle from one test to another. Value of plastic deformation in the test cycle is changed using a set of samples with different radii of curvature of their cylindrical surface, which correspond to values of plastic deformation in the cycle, which are specified in tests, while maintaining the thermal mode in the whole series of tests.
EFFECT: high reliability of test results.
