FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method consists of the following stages: on catch crop seeds is applied an inoculant containing mycorrhizal fungi in amount of 50 g to 500 g per hectare at concentration of 50,000 propagules/g or ml, wherein inoculation is carried out in a place protected from direct sunlight; catch crop seeds inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi are sown in the soil in amount of 10–30% of the seeding rate of the seed culture per hectare, taking into account the row spacing of not more than 15 cm. In the case of using a competitive catch crop, the catch crop is treated with herbicides of continuous action before or after sowing the main crop, and in the case of using a non-competitive catch crop, treatment with herbicides of continuous action of the catch crop is not performed. After sowing the main crop, treatment with herbicides of continuous action of the catch crop is carried out in 15–30 days.

EFFECT: method provides reducing the dose of mycorrhizal inoculant due to germination of a catch culture inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi, which provides the transition of the mycorrhizal fungus from the catch crop plant to the main crop plant when the roots of these plants are closed together and/or to each other.
