SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a composite of solid elastomer and wet filler. Method of producing the composite includes: (a) charging a mixer comprising one or more rotors with at least a solid elastomer and a wet filler containing a filler and a liquid present in amount of 15 to 65 wt. % with respect to the total weight of the wet filler; (b) in one or more mixing steps, mixing in a mixer at least a solid elastomer and a wet filler to form a mixture, and at least one of said mixing steps performing said mixing at mixer temperatures controlled by at least one temperature control means, when one or more rotors operate at a peripheral speed of at least 0.6 m/s for at least 50% of the mixing time, and removing at least a portion of the liquid from the mixture by evaporation; (c) discharging from the mixer a composite containing a filler dispersed in an elastomer, at a load of at least 20 phr (parts per hundred, by weight), with a loss of filler output of not more than 10%, where the composite has a liquid content of not more than 10 wt.% with respect to the total weight of said composite.

EFFECT: shorter mixing time compared to composites obtained from a dry filler, lower Payne difference values compared to composites obtained from a dry mixture, which leads to lower dynamic losses (tan δ) and higher tensile stress (M300/M100).
