SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for producing synthesis gas from a feedstock in the form of methane, comprising a first stage comprising a photocatalytic steam methane reformer, wherein the first stage is configured to produce at least a stream of carbon dioxide and a stream of hydrogen from a feedstock in form of methane, wherein the photocatalytic steam methane reformer enables the contact of the feedstock in the form of methane with water vapor in the presence of a first plasmon photocatalyst, wherein the first plasmon photocatalyst comprises a catalyst connected to the plasmon material, and a second stage connected to the first stage, located downstream of it and containing a photocatalytic unit for dry methane reforming, made with possibility to obtain synthesis gas from the second stream of initial raw material in the form of methane and stream of carbon dioxide obtained at the first stage. Invention also relates to a method of converting feedstock in form of methane into synthesis gas and a method of producing methanol or dimethyl ether of their feedstock in form of methane.
