FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a gas-liquid reactor for oligomerisation of gaseous ethylene, which can contain a liquid phase and an upper gas space. Reactor includes reaction chamber (1) with a shape elongated along a vertical axis, means (2) for introducing gaseous ethylene, located in the lower part of the reaction chamber, catalyst system feed means (10), means (5) for collecting the liquid reaction stream located in the lower part of the reaction chamber, means (4) for releasing the gas fraction at the top of said reactor. Chamber (1) comprises at least two transverse internal elements (11) located on at least part of the section of chamber (1) of said reactor so as to increase the residence time of gaseous ethylene in the liquid phase, each of said internal elements has at least one hole (12) with hydraulic diameter from 21 to 500 mm and said opening (12) or a plurality of openings in the inner member occupies from 20 to 80% of the total cross-sectional area of the reaction chamber on which said inner member is located. Invention also relates to a method for oligomerisation of gaseous ethylene.

EFFECT: high efficiency of the oligomerisation process, limiting the phenomenon of breakthrough of ethylene, high conversion thereof in the process while maintaining good selectivity with respect to the desired linear alpha-olefins.
