FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a gas-liquid oligomerisation reactor, which comprises reaction chamber (1) with a shape elongated along a vertical axis, catalyst system input means (10), means (2) for introducing gaseous ethylene located at the bottom of the reaction chamber, means (5) for collecting a liquid reaction stream located at the bottom of the reaction chamber, and means (4) for blowing the gas fraction at the top of said reactor. Chamber consists of n successive zones, the diameter Dn of which decreases in the direction from the lowest zone to the highest zone of said chamber, wherein the number of n zones ranges from 2 to 5, n successive zones are arranged in series along the vertical axis of the reactor, forming zones in the reaction chamber, diameter of which decreases from bottom to top, and thus increasing height of liquid phase, which can be in said reaction chamber, compared to height in reactor with constant diameter. Invention also relates to a method for oligomerisation of ethylene using a gas-liquid oligomerisation reactor.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the oligomerisation process with respect to efficiency and costs, limiting the phenomenon of ethylene breakthrough in order to increase its conversion in said process while maintaining good selectivity with respect to the desired linear alpha-olefins.
