FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft propellers. Method of propeller blade protection against erosion and abrasive wear consists in application of erosion-resistant coating from polyurethane elastomer on blade front edge zone. Remaining surface of the blade is coated with an abrasion-resistant coating of material including a polyurethane elastomer with filler spherocorundum contained in the material in amount of 20–70 vol.%.
EFFECT: higher reliability of protection of blade aerofoil side surface against abrasive wear.
