FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for reducing volume change for soft contact lenses, comprising: forming a soft contact lens having a first surface and a second surface located opposite to the first surface, with formation of a volume of lens material between them, wherein said soft contact lens has a first cylindrical force; minimizing the difference in volume of the material of said soft contact lens and the volume of material of the comparative soft contact lens by configuring the geometric shape of the first surface based on the cylindrical force associated with the optical zone of the second surface. Comparative lens consists essentially of the same lens material as the formed soft contact lens and has a second cylindrical force different from the first cylindrical force.
EFFECT: use of this invention will allow minimizing the difference in the volume of the material of the said soft contact lens and the volume of the material of the comparative soft contact lens.
