FIELD: connections or fittings for pipes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, in particular, to joints of shaped pipes, which are expanded during action of excessive internal pressure for anchoring of downhole equipment, overlapping of drilling complication zones or leakage of casing strings in wells. Set task is solved due to the fact that disclosed is a method of connecting shaped pipes, in which the connected ends of the shaped pipes, made in the form of a cylindrical profile, equipped with a coupling and nipple parts with threaded and smooth mutually reversed surfaces and coated with wax lubricant, wherein the smooth part is at least 10% of the outer diameter of the coupling part of the shaped pipe, the coupling part has two or more through holes on the smooth surface, through which after screwing the pipes the cavity between the smooth surface of the nipple part and the smooth surface of the coupling part is filled with liquid thermosetting plastic, which displaces air from the cavity and penetrates into the thread part, sealing the connection after the thermosetting plastic is cured.

EFFECT: invention solves the problem of ensuring the tightness of the connection without using standard rubber seals, which enables to reduce the requirements to the accuracy of manufacturing the coupling and nipple parts of the shaped pipes.
