SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for reducing odour and evaporation of liquid (excrement) from a pet litter box. Method for reduction of formation of odour and evaporation of liquid from the litter box of domestic animals is characterized by the fact that the bottom of the litter box is made in the form of a plurality of separate closed cells isolated from each other. Shape of each cell is made with a surface area in a vertical projection from 600 square millimetres to 1,000 square millimetres and with a cell height of more than 60 millimetres and up to 200 millimetres, which creates a volume for liquid, comparable with 1 dose of filling. On the surface of the grid with multiple cells there is a cover with holes made in the form of funnels tapering to the bottom, which facilitate fast passage of liquid directly into the cells located under them.

EFFECT: reduced odour and evaporation of liquid (excrement) from the litter box of domestic animals without the use of chemicals and/or fillers, as well as wider range of technical means.
