FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides extruded filler for animal toilets and methods of preparing and using said filler. The filler for animal toilets contains an extruded mixture containing about 10% to about 90% of one or more clays and about 90% to about 10% of one or more starches.
EFFECT: use of starches to produce extruded filler makes the filler less dense than clay-based filler for animal toilets and consequently makes transportation and use easier.
