SUBSTANCE: from the narrow-band additive mixture of the useful signal and interference, the envelope and phase are selected, their discretization is performed to obtain a sequence of discrete readings, the readings are stored and ranked, obtaining a variation series, smoothening it with a monotonously increasing function of an integer argument—rank and obtaining a sequence of readings of the smoothed estimate of the variation series, derivative of the smoothing monotonous function is estimated for each count of the sequence of ranks and a sequence of counts of the envelope of the output oscillation is obtained, phase of which coincides with the phase of the input oscillation, then the transmission coefficient of the weak signal is estimated for each count of the sequence of ranks, changing the output oscillation envelope readings polarity each time the weak signal transmission coefficient reading polarity is changed, determining the values of the modulus of the covariance function between the sequence of readings obtained as a result of such a nonlinear conversion, and a given sequence of readings of the useful signal, it is compared with a given detection threshold and a decision is made on the presence or absence of a useful signal.

EFFECT: high efficiency of detecting a useful signal.
