FIELD: equipment for hair care, hair cutting and shaving.

SUBSTANCE: field of application of the proposed invention relates to a measuring device aimed at measuring hair lengths when a hairdresser is cutting hair, for controlling the obtained result and comparing it for compliance with the cutting parameters specified in the technical documentation. Simultaneously, the hairdresser is able to compare the sizes of hair lengths and proportions of the haircut specified in the technical documentation of the enterprise with the individual external features of the anatomical structure of each person, namely such features as head shape and size, neck length and volume, back height and width, and so forth. Modular hair length measuring device consists of one upper base fixed around the neck of a person, a second lower base having the possibility of being fixed in two positions, on the waist around the waist or around the hips, two elements - elastic belts, connecting the first and second bases to each other in such a way that putting the device on the human body, one of the belts is located along the spine on the back side, and the other belt along a line drawn from the side of the abdomen on the body of a person and passing through two points, one of the points is located in the centre of the base of the chin, the other point is in the centre of the abdomen, wherein elastic belts are provided with measuring scale made up of 18 equal-sized divisions. Size of each division has no specific mathematical value, since the measuring scale is applied on elastic belts having the property of stretching and contracting in accordance with the individual dimensions of the anatomical structure of each person.

EFFECT: providing measurement of hair length when a hairdresser is cutting hair for control and comparison of the obtained result for compliance with parameters of the haircut model specified by the technical documentation of the enterprise.
