FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for measurement of viscosity of magnetic fluid in magnetic field. Essence of the invention is that a capillary viscometer for measuring viscosity of a magnetic fluid in a magnetic field consists of a capillary of known diameter and length, placed in a rectangular temperature-controlled cell located between poles of an electromagnet connected to a power source, and having nozzles for connecting a liquid thermostat, allowing to change the temperature, a differential pressure sensor connected to a power source, a voltmeter and to the ends of the capillary by means of tees and flexible tubes, a syringe pump with a known inner diameter, allowing to supply the required volume of liquid at a given rate for injection of the analyzed liquid into the capillary.
EFFECT: possibility of measuring viscosity of magnetic fluid at different flow rate, intensity of external magnetic field and temperature.
