FIELD: animal breeding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to animal breeding and is intended for determination of amount of lactose in milk of cows. Method of determining percentage of lactose in milk of cows consists in measurement of frequency dependence of attenuation of electromagnetic signal in milk of cows. Prior to milking, the bioelectric potential levels of the surface localized biologically active centres are measured, the average value is found and the percentage of lactose is determined, namely, measuring bioelectric potential levels of surface localized biologically active centres N 17, 18, 19, 20, 38, 39, 44, 45. Average value is found, and if the value of the SLBAC level is 62.58 mcA and below, the percentage of lactose is 4.36% or less, from 67.74 mcA to 71.47 mcA content of lactose is from 4.74% to 5.00%, at value of 71.47 mcA and higher, the lactose content is 5.00% and more.

EFFECT: reduction of labour intensity when determining limits of percentage content of lactose.
