FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a surgical instrument for clamping and cutting biological tissue. Surgical instrument for clamping and cutting biological tissue comprises a working member, a drive element and a coupling device. Working member is installed with possibility of directed movement in longitudinal direction. Drive element is arranged to turn between initial position and working position. Coupling device provides kinematic connection between drive element and working element. Coupling device comprises a solid link in the form of a connecting rod capable of elastically deforming and, when the drive element is in the working position, elastically deformed so that it creates a restoring moment acting on the drive element in the direction of the initial position.
EFFECT: invention is characterized by the implementation of the link in the form of an elastically deformable connecting rod, which reduces the number of parts of the mechanism and makes it possible to do without additional elements for creating a restoring moment, which facilitates cleaning and sterilization of the surgical instrument.
