FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing composite products using secondary materials and can be used to make building blocks, face and ordinary bricks, facing and paving slabs, curbs, sewer manholes and other concrete products. Crude mixture for the production of composite articles contains 25–60 wt.% of polymer with fraction size of up to 25 mm and 40–75 wt.% of slag with fraction size of up to 5 mm with the following ratio of slag components, wt.%: CaO 30.0–45.0; SiO2 30.0–45.0; Al2O3 5.0–17.0; MgO 5.0–19.0; TiO2 0.1–2.0; MnO not more than 1.0; FeO not more than 1.5. Method of making a composite article involves mixing slag with a polymer to form a mixture which is heated zonally, wherein in the first zone, heating is carried out to temperature of 50–140 °C, in the second – to temperature of 100–210 °C, in the third – to temperature of 145–280 °C, in the fourth – to a temperature not exceeding 300 °C. At the same time in each subsequent zone the initial temperature is maintained not lower than the temperature of the previous zone. Molten mixture is poured into a mould and hardened under pressure of 1.5–12.5 MPa.

EFFECT: obtaining articles with water absorption of less than 5% with improved physical and mechanical properties.
