FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of resveratrol in the form of an additive to fodder for unproductive animals kept on farms or in vivariums. When keeping a large number of animals in closed premises, the risk of spreading various diseases increases, which requires preventive measures. Disclosed resveratrol supplement protects white rats against seborrhoea. Effect of protecting the animal population is ensured by the daily introduction of a calculated dose of resveratrol - 16.5 mg per animal in the form of an additive to the standard animal feeding ration.
EFFECT: use of the invention will make it possible to reduce the number of individuals affected by seborrhoea.
