FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to experimental hepatology, and can be used for simulating non-alcoholic fatty liver dystrophy for subsequent development of new therapeutic approaches to correction of this pathology. Method for simulating comprises thyroidectomy in rats, then, keeping animals in the vivarium at standard nutrition for the following 8 weeks. At the end of said period progression of non-alcoholic fatty dystrophy and signs of steatohepatitis and steato-fibrosis are being diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides reliable quickly repeatable, maximally close to the clinical course of the disease model with minimum cost of experiment.
