FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of plywood. Method of producing plywood involves bonding veneer to each other with a film adhesive and subsequent hot pressing. Film adhesive is a polyolefin film, surface of which is coated with a peroxide compound with a decomposition temperature higher than the melting point of the polyolefin, which is capable of forming macroradicals in the polyolefin film and veneer wood when heated. Adhesive is placed between the veneer layers and heated so that chemical bonds are formed between the polyolefin film and the wood and the adhesive changes into a thermosetting state.
EFFECT: simplified composition of film adhesive, increased efficiency and simplified technology of plywood manufacturing.
