FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to relay protection and automation. Zero sequence voltage of connected feeders outgoing from common buses and phase currents in each feeder converted to zero sequence currents are recorded at a given sampling frequency. Harmonic analysis of zero-sequence voltage is performed and coefficient of distortion of zero-sequence voltage harmonicity is calculated. If it exceeds the value in normal mode, harmonic analysis of the feeder zero-sequence currents is carried out. For harmonic component of zero-sequence voltage of non-industrial frequency with maximum amplitude, its phase shifts relative to harmonic components of zero-sequence currents of each feeder are fixed. Feeder with single-phase ground fault is identified by condition: all other feeders have values of phase angles of other sign. Test criterion is the maximum value of the zero-sequence current harmonicity distortion coefficient of the desired feeder.
EFFECT: limitation of duration of topographic search of single-phase ground fault location.
