FIELD: specialized motor transport equipment.
SUBSTANCE: tow truck includes self-propelled chassis, winch with cable for loading of evacuated mechanism onto self-propelled chassis, platform shift drive, set of fastening belts with tensioning devices. Base is mounted on the chassis to accommodate the evacuated mechanism in the form of a sliding platform. Base is made in the form of two channels turning in a vertical plane around transverse axes of channels, connected to each other by means of length-adjustable devices, namely, turnbuckles, or hydraulic cylinders, or a turnbuckle and a hydraulic cylinder, for changing the distance between triangular axes of channels. Centre of gravity of the base is located, without the evacuated mechanism, behind the transverse axes of rotation of the channels.
EFFECT: reduced weight and easier displacement of the base before the load of the evacuated mechanism.
