FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to jet engines with reversing devices. In the proposed method, when the aircraft is braking, simultaneously with the reversing gas flow shutting off by flaps 4 behind grate 5, the flow part in front of the grate is partially closed by arranging the hydraulic resistance by means of directed flow of compressed gas coming out of flat nozzle 10, with its outlet oriented across flow part 3, along which the reversible gas flow moves, creating a zone of reverse currents with formation of a stable standing vortex. Blades 7 of grate 5 are installed so that difference between angles of exit of jet jets from the first two-thirds of the grate and from its last third is 3–7 degrees.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of turning flow in a reversing device of a grate type.
