SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering, particularly, to unmanned aerial vehicle engines. Method of unmanned aerial vehicle engine operation includes ignition of working mixture and exhaust of exhaust gases from at least one cylinder and at least through one window opened at the end of stroke of working stroke by piston (5), kinematically connected to at least one crank (1) of one shaft (2) of power take-off by consumer. After exhaust gases flow from the cylinder cavity outside through the window, air for fuel is injected into it. Window is placed in the centre of the cylinder cavity.

EFFECT: simplified design.
