FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of article characteristics, namely to aerostatic displacement meters with linear stroke of rod. Aerostatic meter comprises a housing, in which on two cylindrical aerostatic porous supports there is a rod with a replaceable probe at its end, wherein in the housing there are two channels for supplying compressed air to each aerostatic support, as well as in the housing there is a sensor which measures axial displacements of the rod, and a sensor which measures radial displacements of the rod. Channels are made individual with the possibility of independent supply of compressed air to each support.
EFFECT: possibility of measuring both radial and axial displacements of the rod with high accuracy, as well as reduction of forces during radial measurements due to reduction of radial stiffness of the rod at the measurement point, carried out by separate supply of compressed air to two cylindrical aerostatic supports of the rod.
