FIELD: preservation of human or animal bodies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preservation of human or animal corpses and can be used in medicine. Liquid composition for embalming corpses is an aqueous solution containing zinc chloride from 1 to 10% by volume of the solution, aluminium sulphate from 0.2 to 4% by volume of the solution, caproic acid or its structural analogues from 0.1 to 7% by volume solution and water up to 100% by volume.
EFFECT: disclosed liquid composition for embalming corpses provides disinfection of a corpse, prevention of putrefactive changes, restoration of external appearance of a corpse, similar to lifetime, and prolongs period of preservation of a corpse before burial or cremation.
