FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to prediction of locations of virtual road signs. In the disclosed solution, a deep neural network is trained using aerial photographs, satellite images of a given area, as well as geocentric locations of key point markers in a given area for predicting locations of key point markers in an area of interest; wherein key point markers locations correspond to virtual road signs locations; determining areas of interest as a set of input data; processing a set of input data using a trained deep neural network to predict locations of key point markers in an area of interest, wherein key point markers locations correspond to virtual road signs locations; virtual road signs are superimposed in predicted locations of key point markers on data on environment displayed to vehicle driver.
EFFECT: providing prediction of locations of virtual road signs for accurate placement on an image of a scene.
