FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to the grounding device, which can be used for grounding in permafrost, rocky or sandy soils, having high specific resistance (more than 400 Ohm*m), without the use of special equipment and bulk soil, as well as on objects that for whatever reasons need to be dismantled after a given period of time. In the modular electrolytic grounding device, consisting of a current-conducting electrode and at least one container module with a mixture of mineral salts, having a perforated shell, the current-conducting electrode is located parallel to the longitudinal axis of the container modules at a distance of not more than 2 metres, its length is not less than 10 % of total length of container modules; at that, shells of container modules are made from material decomposed in soil into safe components within a specified period of time.
EFFECT: providing reliable technological grounding of electric networks with different characteristics in permafrost, rocky or sandy soils without possible harm to environment.
