FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: sparkless earthing device is made in the form of central vertical electrode located below ground level. Upper part of earthing device is made in the form of a dome and connected to lightning divertor. Lower part of central vertical electrode is connected through beam-shaped horizontal electrodes at least to two buried external vertical electrodes which are connected with buses to the bus forming the circuit of protected surface area, and lower ends of vertical electrodes have wedges cut to the outer side, which are located in volume of spark-absorbing mixture. Design of sparkless earthing device made in the form of central shortened vertical electrode located above ground level is proposed for rocky grounds. Upper part of earthing device is connected to lightning diverter, and its lower part is connected at least to three horizontal electrodes as per beam diagram and laid in fill-up ground; at that, lower ends of electrodes with outward cut wedges are located in boxes with spark-absorbing mixture.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection against action of lightning discharges due to creating the conditions preventing the occurrence of descending discharges and spark formation at action of currents and voltages of pulses of high values.
