FIELD: fish farming.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to artificial breeding of sturgeon fishes and can be used for preservation and restoration of their populations. Method involves preparation of artificial spawning grounds from two-layer mattresses covered on top with large pebbles, the first layer of which is made from bags filled with sand or gravel, the second layer is made from light fascines, which form a nest for stowing and incubation of fertilized sturgeon caviar. Artificial spawning grounds are arranged in a biopond built next to the river, from which a supply channel is erected to the biopond, which is made in the form of a bioplato stream filled with gravel and planted with club-rush, bulrush, iris and other higher aquatic plants, which provide purification of river water entering the biopond. Layer of coarse pebbles is arranged at the bottom of the biopond; flexible two-layer mattresses are mounted on top of it along coastal areas and at a distance from each other with pouches with fertilized eggs in nests of fascines. At the same time in gaps between flexible mattresses and on slopes of biopond shores, higher aquatic plants are planted, which create favourable conditions for incubation of eggs and development of fish fry. From the end part downstream of the biopond to the main river bed, a discharge channel is arranged, through which fish fry grown in the biopond swim into the river for replenishment of populations of sturgeon fishes.

EFFECT: invention provides higher survival rate of fry at artificial breeding of sturgeon fishes.
