FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, in particular, to open-pit mining of coal deposits. Method of open development of coal formation includes mining of rock-coal massif with deepening of mining operations, removal of coal to coal storage or dressing plant and transfer of overburden rock from bottomhole to dump side of elongated open-pit field. Elongated quarry field is developed in stages. At the same time each stage is equal to the height of the single extraction panel created on each projection on the bottomhole side of the open-pit field both during stripping of the working side, and during formation of each underlying working horizon. Single extraction panel contains alternating rock-coal cuts, the number of which is equal to the number of mined beds, and a dump site. Initially, all coal beds are removed in it, at the same time coal is taken out by dump trucks along the upper platform of a single extraction panel, first along the coal bed, then, along horizontal transport berm located across the strike of the coal bed, and lifted from one stage to the above located one through the inclined sliding ramp cut on the flank of the panel in the coal-free zone. Then, overburden rock of interbed areas and flanks of the panel is transferred to the dump side. At the same time in the zone of the step-by-step deepening the base of the internal dump is formed in the form of a stepped surface.

EFFECT: providing rhythm of mining operations, increasing completeness of extraction of coal reserves and reducing volumes of overburden rocks transported using motor transport during the period of operation of the open pit field.
