FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and can be used in production of the main working layer of thermal barrier coatings and technical ceramics when making solid electrolytes, solid oxide fuel cells, gas-analytical sensors. Reaction mixture is prepared which contains, taken in a stoichiometric ratio corresponding to the composition Ln2Zr2O7, the starting compounds: zirconium, which is represented by amorphous hydrated zirconium oxide, and a rare-earth element, which is represented by europium or gadolinium acetate. Obtained reaction mixture is first subjected to microwave treatment with power of 600 W for 15 minutes to obtain europium zirconate Eu2Zr2O7 with a pyrochlore structure or 9 minutes to obtain gadolinium zirconate Gd2Zr2O7 with a pyrochlore structure. Further, thermal treatment of the obtained powder is carried out at temperature of 1,200 °C for 5 hours.
EFFECT: invention provides reduction of synthesis temperature by 100-200 °C and duration by 1-2 hours when producing zirconates of said rare-earth elements with a pyrochlore structure.
