FIELD: heat insulation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat insulation of elements of transition sections of hot and cold water supply pipelines, as well as pipeline assemblies and heat exchange equipment of complex configuration. To implement the method, the boundaries of the transitional section of the pipeline are selected and marked, and laser 3D scanning is carried out to obtain a file of a cloud of points of their surface. Then, retopology of the grid of the transitional section of the pipeline is carried out, digital construction of images of scanning elements of the surface of the transitional section of the pipeline, which are exported to the CAD-system for determination of the actual geometrical dimensions of the transitional section. Thereafter, digital images of the scans are projected onto the surface of the heat-insulating piercing mat and cut along the outer contour of the scans. Self-adhesive Velcro tapes are applied along said contours and stitched with a loop part. Width of the Velcro tape is determined taking into account the thickness of the fibrous heat-insulating stitching mat. Installation of prepared mats on the transition section of the pipeline is carried out with the help of a Velcro tape with a “hook” part.

EFFECT: improved quality of heat insulation of transition sections of pipelines and pipeline assemblies of complex configuration due to compliance of prepared mats to actual line of external contour of surface of transition section of pipeline.
