FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-prevention fire-fighting facilities and can be used for protection of pipelines and shut-off valves protruding thereon, process equipment with control and instrumentation, shutoff and control valves, flanges, filters, various capacitance equipment, in systems for processing and transportation of combustible gases and liquids and in other sections of fire hazardous production. Solution is aimed at improving reliability and efficiency of use, simplifying the design and durability of its operation. System for improving functional fire resistance of equipment comprises flexible fire-resistant protection and fasteners. Flexible fire-resistant protection is made in the form of a fire-resistant jacket of a covering fabric made of ceramic fiber reinforced with a thin metal wire, sewed by means of sewing metalized threads with a steel core in a pair-aramid sheath and having in expanded form a configuration repeating the shape of the fire protection object. Inside the fire-resistant jacket, a heat insulating insert made of ceramic fiber is installed and fixed by means of steel peaks, and on the outer side of the fire-resistant jacket rigidly connected to it elements for fixation and sealing of the system for increasing functional fire resistance on the fire protection object.

EFFECT: technical result consists in creation of effective system for increasing functional fire resistance of equipment.
