FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of locating tool location in horizontal directional drilling using electromagnetic fields. Locator consists of three hollow parts permanently connected to each other and arranged vertically along a common longitudinal axis – modules 1, 2, 3. Extreme modules 1 and 3 of the housing are made commensurate in height and width and are connected to each other by hollow handle 4 in their upper part, and in their lower part – by middle module 2 of the housing, having height of 1/4 of the height of the first and third modules. In module 3 of the housing there is a receiving part, which includes unit 5 for controlling and processing information from the probe and transceiving radio module 6. In module 2 there is accumulator unit 81 with cover 82. In the upper part of module 1 there is indicator 9 for displaying information from the probe located in the drilling rig, and in its lower part there is unit 10 of magnetic antennae with a common magnetic centre. Lower parts of first and third modules 1 and 3 of the housing are equipped from below with protective wear-resistant pads 11 and 12. Upper part of first module 1 is made with its expansion along the longitudinal axis, and rectangular indicator 9 located in it is made elongated along the longitudinal axis, is lifted to the external side of housing module 1 and is proportional to its upper part. Units of the receiving part located in module 3 are arranged vertically in it in the form of a sandwich: control and information processing unit 5 equipped with protective magnetic screen 13, and transceiving radio module 6. At the same time in the upper part of module 3 there is flashing light-emitting diode indicator 14. In hollow handle 4 there is shielded communication cable 15, which connects indicator 9 in module 1, which is equipped with protective magnetic screen 16 on the sides and bottom and control and information processing unit 5 in module 3 equipped with protective magnetic shield 13.
EFFECT: increasing ease of use while improving location accuracy.
