FIELD: antenna equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna equipment, in particular, to means of detecting conductive objects underground using the magnetic fields created or modified by the object. The technical result is achieved by the unit of orthogonal magnetic antennas for the receiver of a horizontal directional drilling (HDD) location system containing two pairs of ferrite rods, parallel and interconnected by windings, wherein said pairs are positioned mutually orthogonally and have a common magnetic focus; the unit is characterised by additionally including a third pair of ferrite rods, parallel and interconnected by windings, wherein all three of said pairs are positioned mutually orthogonally, forming a combined common magnetic focus between the pairs and maintaining the symmetry along all three orthogonal axes; the distance between the parallel ferrite rods in each pair is the same and comparable to the diameter of the ferrite rods, in order to potentially ensure more compact assembly on a common cube-shaped base.
EFFECT: reduced dimensions with high accuracy of measurements.
