FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to high-voltage devices. High-voltage capacitor consists of a roll formed by winding a structure of alternating two layers of aluminium foil, which are electrodes, and two dielectric layers consisting of several thin metallized polymer films superimposed on each other and having a thin metallization layer, the width of which is less than the width of the films, and the foil electrodes have a smaller width than the width of the metallized layer of the dielectric films. Metallized areas on the surface of the polymer films equalize the potential of the electric field over their entire surface, preventing overvoltage of the field over separate areas, and the spacing of the edges of the foil electrodes due to the fact that the electrode in contact with the metallized area has a larger width together with the metallized layer, this leads to a weakening of the electric field between the edges of the electrodes.
EFFECT: high specific capacitance at high voltages between electrodes.
