EVAPORATOR AND METHOD OF DOSING ANESTHETICS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61M16/18

Abstract RU 2832042 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to versions of a method for dosing an anesthetic by means of a gas passing through a liquid anesthetic vaporizer. In the first version of the method, the liquid anesthetic evaporator is cooled before operation below the hardening temperature of the heat-stabilizing liquid in the thermal module, and in process of operation evaporator of liquid anesthetics is cooled due to heat of fusion of heat-stabilizing liquid and/or passage of electric current through Peltier elements of thermal module. In the second version of the method, the concentration of the liquid anesthetic at the outlet of the liquid anesthetic evaporator and the inhaled concentration in the mode of maintaining anesthesia is controlled, recording the amount of evaporated anesthetic and gas flow through the liquid anesthetic evaporator. Same reference mark of the liquid anesthetic level is used at the beginning and at the end of the evaporator operation time. Anesthetic evaporator comprises a regulator with a concentration scale, an evaporation chamber with an anesthetic filling adapter and a heat stabilizer with a heat stabilizing liquid, thermally connected to the evaporator housing, a gas inlet and outlet. Anesthetic evaporator is equipped with a graduated pipette and a liquid anesthetic filler. At the maximum mark of the concentration scale, the inlet of the evaporator is pneumatically connected to the inlet of the graduated pipette.

EFFECT: increased maximum concentration of anesthetic during anesthesia with improved quality and safety of anesthesia.
