FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Device for feeding starting mixture into outlet channel (23) of steel teeming ladle (1) comprises a base, installed on it rotary column (2) with a bearing console, trolley with bin (15) for starting mixture, support rollers and a pulley installed on a bearing console, a flexible metal sleeve, a limit switch and a laser sighting range finder. On the console made of two beams (5) connected by crossbar (4), longitudinal guide carriages are installed, which are connected by two webs and moved relative to the beams. Flexible sleeve is connected by its rear end to the bin and is placed on support rollers in a horizontal position with the pulley bending around and the front part is placed vertically. When moving along guides, the trolley transfers the flexible sleeve to a vertical position along the whole length for pouring the starting mixture over it from the bin by gravity. On longitudinal guides there are supports, in which there is a rotary lever pressing the sleeve to the pulley with a profiled roller.
EFFECT: elimination of losses of starting mixture due to elimination of its dispersion by ascending air flows and centring of incoming mixture jet relative to outlet channel of ladle.
