FIELD: water purification.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sorption water purification, namely to the waste of humic production (WHP) for wastewater treatment contaminated with heavy metals. The WHP, consisting of peat, potassium hydroxide, diatomite and sapropel, was obtained at the stage of centrifugation in the production of potassium humate, including the hydration of the feedstock. The ratio of the components of the WHP by weight of dry matter, %: peat – 40-60; sapropel – 25-38; diatomite – 14-20; KOH – the rest. The size of the UCP fractions is no more than 0.5 mm, the bulk density is no more than 450 kg/m3, humidity is 3-5%, pH is 8.0-8.5.

EFFECT: technical result is the development of a sorption material based on WHP, which has the ability to neutralize heavy metal ions such as Cu2+, Zn2+, Fe3+, Cd2+, Mg2+, from industrial wastewater.
