FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purification of water from heavy metals, technical solution of which is aimed at obtaining a composite sorbent of heavy metals from production wastes and raw material of natural origin. Iron-magnesium composite for treating waste water contains iron-magnesium wastes and high-moor peat. Components are mixed until homogeneous consistency with following ratio of components: iron-magnesium wastes – 90-95 wt.%, high-moor peat – 5-10 wt.%.
EFFECT: obtaining a composite composition which enables neutralization of heavy metals (Cu, Zn, Fe, Mg) from industrial waste water and is characterized by high sorption capacity with respect to copper and zinc.
