FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering, in particular to fan cooling towers and can be used in various industries, where technological processes require cooling of large volumes of water. Invention proposes a cooling tower fan installation, an electric motor with an external frequency converter, which is kinematically connected to the pump shaft, the suction connection pipe of which is connected to the central pipe of the cooling tower water distribution system. Pressure connection pipe of the pump by means of a pressure pipeline is connected to an active vertical hydraulic turbine, on the shaft of the impeller of which there is a fan impeller. Turbine housing is split-type. Parting plane of the housing passes perpendicular to the shaft of the turbine impeller and consists of a cylindrical casing with a channel for supplying water to the turbine impeller. To the casing by means of a bolted joint with tightening attached is a base in the form of a plate with openings for discharge under the effect of gravity of waste water through a waste water discharge pipeline brought through a water trap into the cavity of the cooling tower above its water distribution system.
EFFECT: simplified manufacturing and maintenance of cooling tower fan unit.
