SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to use of a compound selected from compounds of formulas (1), (2), (3), (4):
or a combination thereof as a food source of butyrate. In formulas (1), (2), (3), (4) R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 independently represent a long-chain fatty acid having from 16 to 20 carbon atoms.
EFFECT: obtaining a food source of butyrate having improved organoleptic properties as compared to available solutions.
