SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and can be used to increase the cross-sectional area of mine workings on local sections, for example, when creating niches. Disclosed is a mobile rock destruction unit, comprising longitudinal guides with devices for fastening in a mine working, a carriage with a manipulator installed on longitudinal guides, on which a rock destruction actuator is located with possibility of positioning relative to working surface by means of thrust hydraulic cylinder, mechanism of carriage movement along guides with drive, as well as manipulator drive, and their control system. At the same time fixtures for fixation of longitudinal guides are made in the form of interconnected radially oriented hydraulic posts with possibility of being moved apart to the stop against walls of mine working and located in a plane perpendicular to longitudinal guides. And the carriage is installed on longitudinal guides between hydraulic stands with provision of rotational movements of the manipulator with the rock cutting actuator around the guides by means of the drive fixed on the carriage. Control system includes a pump station configured to supply working fluid to the drives of the mechanism for moving the carriage and rotating the manipulator, as well as to the hydraulic cylinder of its thrust.
